This program is designed to provide practical experience which will prepare the participant to work in a medical front office. The participant will understand and use medical terminology, acquire basic knowledge of medical insurance, basic diagnostics and procedural coding, process basic medical claims forms, computerized billing and claims processing, patient file system management, and scheduling appointments and patient registration. Scrubs are to be worn during class hours.
Upon course completion students will be able to test for national certification from National Healthcareers Association to receive their CMAA certification. National Certification includes CEHR training. $5,893 Books and testing fee additional cost.
26 week course, 8:30 - 1:30 Monday - Friday.
